The worst performers of the session were Delivery Hero AG (DE:DHER), which fell 3.32% or 4.60 points to trade at 133.75 at the close. Deutsche Boerse AG (DE:DB1Gn) declined 2.32% or 3.270 points to end at 137.380 and Muench. Rueckvers. VNA O.N. (DE:MUVGn) was down 1.76% or 4.35 points to 242.85.
The top performers on the MDAX were K&S AG (DE:SDFGn) which rose 7.39% to 10.297, Kion Group AG (DE:KGX) which was up 5.16% to settle at 76.62 and Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (DE:TKAG) which gained 3.93% to close at 9.125.
The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which was down 3.13% to 41.48 in late trade, GEA Group AG (DE:G1AG) which lost 2.38% to settle at 29.325 and Puma SE (DE:PUMG) which was down 2.41% to 88.54 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Nordex SE O.N. (DE:NDXG) which rose 6.89% to 25.760, Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:MORG) which was up 2.79% to settle at 96.470 and Qiagen NV (DE:QIA) which gained 2.33% to close at 42.745.
The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which was down 3.13% to 41.48 in late trade, Bechtle AG (DE:BC8G) which lost 2.13% to settle at 174.800 and Software AG (DE:SOWGn) which was down 1.60% to 32.670 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 415 to 268 and 29 ended unchanged.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.97% to 22.93.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.50% or 9.45 to $1918.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.67% or 0.34 to hit $50.97 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.63% or 0.34 to trade at $54.64 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.2272, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.9046.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 89.785.
