Stocks Deep in Red, Set for Another Wild End to Trading

By Kim Khan – Stocks moved close to their lows of the day in late trading Friday with investors likely nervous about staying long into a weekend that will be packed with Covid-19 headlines.

But this week has shown us that the last hour of trading can bring anything and we could be looking at deeper selling into the end or a stunning reversal by the closing bell.

The lost 3.8% and the sank 3.8%. The fell 3%, or 792 points.

As stocks fell, bonds rallied, pushing yields to historic lows again. The benchmark Treasury yield stood around 0.7%. It slipped below that level for the first time ever earlier.
