At the close in Frankfurt, the fell 0.30%, while the index declined 0.05%, and the index climbed 0.30%.

The best performers of the session on the were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:), which rose 1.40% or 0.295 points to trade at 21.350 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Boerse AG (DE:) added 1.31% or 1.950 points to end at 150.550 and Adidas AG (DE:) was up 1.14% or 3.55 points to 315.05 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Daimler AG NA O.N. (DE:), which fell 2.12% or 0.985 points to trade at 45.415 at the close. Covestro AG (DE:) declined 1.68% or 0.690 points to end at 40.500 and Bayer AG NA (DE:) was down 1.41% or 1.07 points to 74.68.

The top performers on the MDAX were TeamViewer AG (DE:) which rose 2.96% to 33.00, Aurubis AG (DE:) which was up 2.26% to settle at 54.400 and Evotec AG O.N. (DE:) which gained 1.92% to close at 25.990.

The worst performers were K+S AG NA O.N. (DE:) which was down 8.16% to 9.280 in late trade, Varta AG (DE:) which lost 6.85% to settle at 84.300 and Qiagen NV (DE:) which was down 3.25% to 31.530 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were S&T AG (DE:) which rose 11.31% to 24.60, TeamViewer AG (DE:) which was up 2.96% to settle at 33.00 and New Work SE (DE:) which gained 2.35% to close at 305.00.

The worst performers were Varta AG (DE:) which was down 6.85% to 84.300 in late trade, Qiagen NV (DE:) which lost 3.25% to settle at 31.530 and Drillisch AG (DE:) which was down 2.68% to 21.800 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 393 to 274 and 86 ended unchanged.

Shares in Deutsche Boerse AG (DE:) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.31% or 1.950 to 150.550. Shares in TeamViewer AG (DE:) rose to all time highs; rising 2.96% or 0.95 to 33.00. Shares in K+S AG NA O.N. (DE:) fell to 5-year lows; losing 8.16% or 0.825 to 9.280. Shares in TeamViewer AG (DE:) rose to all time highs; up 2.96% or 0.95 to 33.00.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 3.16% to 13.40.

Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.01% or 0.15 to $1557.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.42% or 1.41 to hit $56.97 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.89% or 1.22 to trade at $63.37 a barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.1085, while EUR/GBP fell 0.52% to 0.8447.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 97.350.
