
Investing.com – HSBC reported third quarter that missed analysts’ expectations on Monday and revenue that fell short of forecasts.
The firm reported earnings per share of £0.12 on revenue of £10.34B. Analysts polled by Investing.com expected EPS of £0.17 on revenue of £11.11B. That compared to EPS of £0.15 on revenue of £10.81B in the same period a year earlier. The company had reported EPS of £0.18 on revenue of £12.31B in the previous quarter.
HSBC shares lost 4.35% to trade at £589.50 in intra-day trade following the report.

On Friday, Barclays reported third quarter EPS of £0.07 on revenue of £5.54B, compared to forecasts of EPS of £0.06 on revenue of £5.23B.
RBS PLC earnings missed analysts’ expectations on Thursday, with third quarter EPS of £-0.03 on revenue of £2.9B. Investing.com analysts expected EPS of £0.06 on revenue of £3.12B
