The firm reported earnings per share of $1.38 on revenue of $33.06B. Analysts polled by Investing.com forecast EPS of $1.24 on revenue of $32.14B. That compared to EPS of $1.14 on revenue of $29.08B in the same period a year earlier. The company had reported EPS of $1.37 on revenue of $33.72B in the previous quarter.
Microsoft shares lost 0.52% to trade at $136.53 in after-hours trade following the report.
